vac WINGS Kit-485,
HEINKEL HE-51, 1/48 Scale
This is an
excellent vacWINGS vacuform of the He-51, 1930s' LUFTWAFFE fighter
biplane. The kit is as new, though the outer-bag has been opened--the
top cardboard seal is included. The three white vacuform sheets
consist of fuselage, wings, tailplane, wheels, propeller, seat,
instrument-panel, etc. There are four pages of instructions which
include detail-drawings, a four-view in 1/48 Scale, color information
and references. A vacWINGS advert is also included. The kit is
as new in excellent condition--no decals were ever issued with
this release. SOLD!
vac WINGS Kit-4826,
REGGIANNE Re 2005 "Sagittario," 1/48 Scale
This is a superb vacuform
of the late-war, Italian single-seat fighter, the Reggiane Re
2005. The two white vacuform sheets consist of fuselage, wings,
tailplane wheel covers, wheel wells, radiator, seat, instrument
panel, etc. The metal parts consist of a propeller, exhausts,
intake, two landing-gear struts, wheels, tail-wheel and a clear
canopy is included. Decals are also included for two aircraft.
The four-page instruction sheet gives history, basic assembly
information, marking/painting suggestions, interior photos and
aircraft plan views. The kit scales well with the current Flying
Machine injection model as well as the drawings in the book, Ali
D'Italia 16, Reggiane Re 2005 though the fuselage is very slightly
over-size aft the cockpit. The kit is as new in excellent condition
and comes in its original plastic bag with the cardboard bag-top
seal. In some ways, it is a better kit than the Flying Machines
injection kit. Its panel detail is convincing and the recessed
rivets are the most convincing I've seen on any 1/48 model--very
fine, they seem real. They also correspond to the patterns on
the actual airplane as shown in photos in the Ali D'Italia book.
